Commentary Supposing Books The Hunt is On (The Patroness #2)

Book 2 in the Patroness Series:

Maiwenn Cadic has her hands full.

The Turn is a few weeks ahead and the world seems to be literally coming apart at the seams - natural disasters and weird phenomena keep everyone on edge. An unusually high number of missing persons is thought to be just another side effect but is making Maiwenn nervous.

When all fingers point to the Queen of the Undead, Maiwenn is once again forced to join forces with Kylian, new leader of the Paris shapeshifter pack.

Sharp-tongued and sharp-fanged conflicts follow...

Piece About Books The Hunt is On (The Patroness #2)
The second book in the Patroness series did not disappoint in anyway. Natalie Herder is fast becoming a favorite of mine. I'm anticipating the third book now that Maiwenn and crew have lived through the Turn. The characters are well rounded and the story well thought out. I adore the ever evolving relationships and the introduction of new and interesting characters. I started up all night reading this book and was left wanting more. This series is a definite must read!

On we went, and to be honest book two was more of book one. It's nice to watch the whole romance thing evolve a bit, but this book is similar to book one in that there is one clear problem that needs solving, and that's all there is to it. I feel like this story could have been even better if there were more things going on at once, maybe with some other factions in the city (and yes I know there was the vamp thing but that seemed just a glitch really and is over quite fast). It also seems weird

Well this one was MUCH better than the first one. Apparently there is now a good editor in the mix or something because there were very few awkward sentences and I was able to be more more into the story. The characters still need to be developed more fully and there could be a lot more action and less talking and sightseeing, but the story was creative. I plan to read the next in the series.

The Hunt is On improves on a lot of my criticisms of Blue Moon Rising, but I still think this book needs another round of editing - possibly in terms of big picture editing. The Hunt is On accomplishes a few things on the writing level that Blue Moon Rising did not. There were less unnecessary tangents that slowed the plot in this book and Kylian and Maiwenn's relationship instantly takes off and draws the reader in. But, with the Turn being set up in the first book, and Kylian and Maiwenn still

** Warning: This review will contain spoilers!! **In book two with the Patroness of Paris, we follow Maiwenn as she tries to unravel the mystery of people going missing throughout the city. The dreaded Turn is at their doorstep and Maiwenn is determined to keep the city safe despite leaked magic wreaking havoc. And shes certainly got her hands full because now Kylian is 100% back in the picture, along with the whole motley crew of vampires, demons, and shape shifters.I enjoyed this book, but can

Maiwenn is the Patroness of Paris her role is to keep the paranormal residents under control, to ensure that they do no harm to humans, and the humans dont know they are there. However The Turn is about to happen when the magical wall separating the supernatural from humans will disappear and all things paranormal and fantasy will be revealed publically. What the result will be no-one knows for certain. The governments of the world are mounting huge PR campaigns to ensure humans become aware

After reading the first book in this series...I immediately bought and downloaded this book. Natalie doesn't really leave us on a cliffhanger except in respect to Maiwenn's love life. Maiwenn as the Patroness of Paris is trying to help it's citizens and supernaturals get ready for the The Turn. The Turn is coming and now we know that at the end of the Mayan calendar. The turn is when the magical world will be normal and the non-magical world (the one that we know) will be no more for many years.
