Critique Containing Books Gangsta
In the book Gangsta by Kwan Lou-Loc was a a young man who was raised in a horrible neighborhood almost as worst as Compton . He joined crips at the age of 13 in which Gutter ( one of the crips ) convinced him because there were only two ways they rolled in their hood " be in a gang or get ganged ". Although they harmed in the beginning they became really close and had each other's backs no matter what. Their rivals were the bloods which lived on the other side of town which was far but not far

Content warnings: Death, blood, violence, murderThis was definitely interesting and I can definitely say, as this is said to be his first book, he's grown a LOT as an author.I love that he wrote Satin how he did. And made it a point to make her say more than once at least in her mind that it was her body and her choice who she shared it with when her brother tried being an asshole and telling her that because who she loved was of a different gang she couldn't be with him. That kind of shit is

Spoiler Alert! First thing first. I already knew St. Louis was going to die. Because the people who already read this book said, he died. I just didn't know how he died. Heck, I was angry as a granny catching her husband f#kin the mail lady. I'm reading this book like I already know he's going to died. Heck, why can't they just let Lou-Loc live I really liked him. And I think Satin actually change him more. Plus I was so freaking happy when Martina got what she deserve lord knows I couldn't

This was a very quick and interesting read. This is the first book that I've read by K'wan and I must say that I was truly impressed. I will definitely be reading more by this author. The book was a page turner and was very entertaining; I couldn't put it down. I was very sad at the ending of the book, but it just goes to show that living that life has a cost, and although Lou-Loc was trying to get out of the game, it was a little too late. This book gave me a glimpse of the hood life and I

I really didn't like this book at all. The plot was very slow & I can't remember if I even got through the whole thing. I've read other K'wan books, so I'm thinking that it was just the storyline that didn't grab me because he's a really talented brother & a great writer...

đŸ”¥đŸ”¥đŸ”¥as usual !!

"Gangsta" is a must read. It seems so much as of reality. It has impact and shows the struggle of a inspirational and dedicated young man wanting to turn his life around despite the fact that he was a notorious crip gang banger. The main character, St. Lousis Alexander a.k.a Lou-Loc, became a crip in California. One place that is known for gang banging between crips and bloods but when he got in some mess with the law he decided to escape to NY to continue with the crips. Regardless of gang
