Discuss Containing Books Dirty Secrets (Romantic Suspense #4.5)
Even though this book is short it had a good storyline. It had the right amount of suspense. It was a nice introduction to Emma's story after reading about her in Watch Your Back. I felt the love between Emma & Chris in this book. Megan got on my nerves the way she treated Emma. The killer definitely surprised me in this book. Great job Ms. Rose.

Professor Christopher Walker is in the middle of dealing with what first looks like the accidental death of one of the grad students in his lab when someone from his past reaches out to him. His high school unrequited love, Emma Townsend, wants to see him. She's a psychologist, best selling author and traveling lecturer who just discovered the letter he gave her 17 years ago. Unfortunately, she's now drawn into the danger and mystery surrounding him and his lab. For a novella, this story read

This novella contain all the elements of a great story.....murder, suspense, a healthy dose of romance and a little drama. I loved Chris and Emma but Megan, not so much. It really worked for me and left me wishing it was a bit longer.

Read this over the weekend--Fast paced thriller. As I've said before, Karen Rose grabs me from the first sentence. Her characters are so alive, and the suspense is hold your breath scary.

3.5 StarsThere is a lot of story in this novella. I like the characters. The suspense is here but for some reason I couldn't get into it like I normally do with a Karen Rose novel. I'll revisit this book again. It is possible that I have too much going on in the real world that kept me from focusing.

I enjoyed this book but it didn't live up to the previous books in series. I just had a really hard time with Christoper wanting to jump right into sex with Emma after 17 years. He didn't just want her but couldn't live without having her and now! So much happened in the years they were apart I would have enjoyed a slower build - more friends to lovers instead of the insta lust that lead to insta love. My other issue was that the "bad guy" was painfully obvious (although I couldn't figure out
