Kaylee struggles with the demons of her past, her absentee father, helping her alcoholic mom, finding a summer job, keeping food on the table for her and her mom, keeping her old life apart from her new one, and keeping a certain boy who still holds her heart at a safe distance. Just when she thought her life couldn't get more complicated as it is, her two worlds collide and threatens everything she tried to hide and the life she built for herself. As the characters struggle with inner turmoilI can honestly say that I was not expecting this book to be so deep, for lack of a better word. The issues Kaylee and Dylan are dealing with are heart-wrenching and deep -- deeper than I thought they would be going in.I liked the book. I liked the growth of the characters. It slowed a bit in the middle however it never made me stop reading. I was stunned at how much this book made me reach inside myself to deal with Kaylee's and Dylan's issues. All I can say is wow.Looking forward to revisiting

Courtesy of the previous book in this series I've now become a fan of New Adult reads and was greatly anticipating Love Me If You Dare. The first book in the Safe Havens series introduced us to a group of young women dealing with childhood issues as they go forward into adulthood amidst intense emotions. Love Me If You Dare had me hooked from the get go! The cover (sexy male body, blue writing...incase you didnt already know which one hehe) .....omg i felt like a right perv i just couldnt stop looking at it! When I read (and reviewed) the first book of this series, Love Me For Me, I fell in love with the characters, the stories and I really connected with them. So when the second book was up for review, I jumped at the chance to read it. Sadly, I have to say I was a bit disappointed by it. Not because it is a bad book, but because I just didnt connect as deeply with these characters as the ones before.Ive started this review a few times, and I find myself more summarizing the book than talking about
