From the #1 international bestselling author of the Baltimore series comes a suspenseful novella featuring Assistant State’s Attorney Daphne Montgomery and Special Agent Joseph Carter.

After a traumatic kidnapping, Daphne’s boss insists that she take time off. But she refuses to sit on the sidelines when she meets a six-year-old girl who the police call Angel. Angel hasn’t spoken a word since they found her four days ago next to a burned out car, frozen with shock, not far from the bodies of two adults who may or may not have been her parents.

Joseph knows that helping Angel is exactly what Daphne needs right now. But when Daphne gets Angel to talk, a mysterious and chilling crime begins to unravel—one that drives Daphne into the darkest corners of her past as she and Joseph track a ruthless killer.

Evaluate Epithetical Books Broken Silence (Romantic Suspense #14.5)
Daphne is still recovering from a terrible case and is currently on bereavement leave. Struggling to stay out of her head, she is quickly pulled into another case by her boyfriend and head of Baltimores Violent Crimes Enforcement Team, Joseph.Daphne is instantly drawn to this traumatized and scared little girl. She reminds Daphne of herself when she was a child and witnessed something horrible. Trying to get the girl to open up, Daphne suggests she visit her farm for some equine therapy. It

Was glad to see Daphne and Joe again and we even got a little be more ending. Loved it! Can't wait for the next one.

State Attorney Daphne Montgomery's been sidelined since the traumatic events involving her childhood abductor. When a six-year old girl is found near two dead people who are suspected to be her parents, FBI Agent Joseph Carter thinks Daphne is the ideal person to help the child find her voice. This is a really short story but it most certainly delivers. The mystery is interesting and it was nice getting more of Daphne and Joseph. It wasn't predictable and I hadn't a clue until all was revealed.

The sickest of people who sell kids. Terrorise them as they thinks they are owed. Thank goodness horses and daphne can help the child access the information in her brain so the FBI and cops can save her sister

An intense and suspenseful short with the main characters from Did You Miss Me? . I recommend reading the book Did You Miss Me? before tackling this. FBI agent Joseph Carter decides that his girlfriend, Daphne Montgomery, needs to find something to occupy herself with until she is allowed to go back to work and he enlists her help in helping a young 6 year old girl that was found near a burnt up car with two dead passengers. It was extremely short but still packed a great punch.

A good novella that ties up a few loose ends.

EXPLAINATION!!!Sometimes you just need to get all the pieces to the puzzle to understand why people make the choices they do.
