Wonderful storytellingThis book was recommended to me and I am so glad it was.The twists and turns and detail of life before and during the war kept from the pageI could just say it was ok. And not a word more.But I add a few more.I was bored reading facts about suffragettes movement (just before WWI) and about WWI. Not because I am not interested in it, but because there wasn't anything new to me. (I have read books, articles and watched documentaries.) The writer tried put many historical facts, which would be interesting for someone who don't know them. Yet, it is risky thing. This book is a perfect example of a talented writer...It has twists and turns which are so carefully set in place and it keeps you in the most dramatic suspense all the way through! the first book of this authour i read was called a flower in season and that book was excellent but this book is EVEN BETTER! this story is set in 2 eras...the bloody world war 1 and the golden edwardian era...it tells a tale of suffragettes who are never willing to give up for what they belive without a fight then
As the night ends has to be one of the best books I have read this year, for me it's not as good as Distant images but it's still a fantastic read.
