Jamie & Laura Newman have recently become quite the successful - and mildly wealthy - couple, thanks to the fact they've managed to write a series of popular romantic comedies together. This has come as a complete surprise to the hapless pair, and is - needless to say - a turn of events neither is in the slightest bit equipped to deal with.
They get invited to posh events where they feel endlessly out of place, have long lost relatives turn up out of the blue, raise an aspiring diva for a daughter, and go on holiday to exotic places they really have no place being. It's enough to make anyone crawl under the nearest rock.
If you're Jamie, you also get to turn 40 - and there's not a damn thing he can do to stop it. As for Laura, well let's say that just because you can afford to purchase expensive beauty products, it doesn't necessarily mean that you should.

I was really disappointed with this book. I loved the first three books in this series as well as Nick Spalding's other books. However, this story lacked a lot of the humor in the first three books. I might have laughed once but that was it. It always sucks when you love a series until the last book.So I've finished the fourth and most recent of Nick Spalding's Love series, though almost certainly not the last, at least not judging by the note upon which it ends. By now I'm beginning to get a little jaded with it all. Virtually every chapter is the build-up to some pratfall, many of them hilarious but certainly predictable. You really have to imagine the worst thing that could befall you when doing a mundane something like walking the dog and it'll happen to the characters in this book,
Not for me, I couldn't finish it.
Funniest book everIf I could of given this book ten stars I would have. I woke one of my children up with my laughing. I can't wait to read more of Nick Spalding's books.
Great seriesI have now read all the books in the series and wish there were more. A great read about life and how not to do it!
enjoyed another good read from nick Spalding . very witty and funny like his other books I have read. now on to the next one
