After she found her real father, life for Selah should have felt settled. But the horrors have just begun. In her broken world of toxic earth and tribal clashes, Selah must

Crit About Books Lightning (Stone Braide Chronicles #2)
This was a very good book . Once you sit down and start reading it . You don't want to stop . Hope y'all enjoy

Review: I received this book from NetGalley for reviewIt took me a few chapters to get back into this world, as I forgot a lot of what happened in the previous book. But once I got back into the world and remembered enough to follow what was happening in relation to the events in the last book, I could barely put this book down. During many of the beginning chapters I was curious if I needed to read the sequel novella (Aftershock) before reading this book, to just bridge some of the facts and

This intense science fiction thriller is almost too fast-paced to follow, as Selah throws herself physically, mentally and emotionally into her quest to discover and fulfill her destiny. Her romance with Bodhi is a sweet respite from the action and a reminder that she is, after all, still a teenager one with the weight of the world on her shoulders.Selahs role as a novarium becomes clearer and more complicated as she searches for her family, while Bodhi and Glade work toward traveling west to

The second book in the Stone Braide Chronicles trilogy, Lightning begins a little while after the events of Thunder, book one of the series. The story follows Selah, the heroine of the first book, as she strives to discover what is happening to her and find her family. She has discovered by now that she is a novarium, a person who is meant to be the future of the world. She faces more difficulties than simply this, however, as her lover is forbidden to be with her, and she must return to the

LightningStone Braide Chronicles #2By Bonnie S. CalhounSelah has been reunited with the father she never knew about, but Glade is so focused on his quest to reach the West and the Third Protocol of Landers that Selah seldom spends much time with him. And since they arrived in Tic City Selah hasn't seen much of Bodhi. The bond between them seems broken, but Selah still feels it.Having become a novarium has left Selah with more questions than answers and there is no one she can ask. There are no

I hadn't read the first book, but this one was nearly unreadable. I found it extremely hard to follow and the writing was very choppy, yet at the same time too flowery. Maybe I missed something by not reading the first?
