Explanation In Pursuance Of Books P.S. from Paris
From Marc Levy, the most-read French author alive today, comes a modern-day love story between a famous actress hiding in Paris and a bestselling writer lying to himself. They knew their friendship was going to be complicated, but love—and the City of Lights—just might find a way.On the big screen, Mia plays a woman in love. But in real life, she’s an actress in need of a break from her real-life philandering husband—the megastar who plays her romantic interest in the movies. So she heads across the English Channel to hide in Paris behind a new haircut, fake eyeglasses, and a waitressing job at her best friend’s restaurant.
Paul is an American author hoping to recapture the fame of his first novel. When his best friend surreptitiously sets him up with Mia through a dating website, Paul and Mia’s relationship status is “complicated.”
Even though everything about Paris seems to be nudging them together, the two lonely ex-pats resist, concocting increasingly far-fetched strategies to stay “just friends.” A feat easier said than done, as fate has other plans in store. Is true love waiting for them in a postscript?

What a charming romantic comedy! I will admit it took me a bit to get into the writing style. (I often wonder how much is lost in translation??). However, it is a short book and I was engrossed before long. This is the kind of book that puts a smile on your face while reading. I can definitely see this as a movie that I would enjoy watching. A great, light-hearted, short summer read.I'm going to be upfront and personal here. I am a dyed in the wool Francophile. I get giddy at all things French. Anything to do with France and I'm pretty well sold on the concept. I follow bloggers from France, I buy photography books with photos from France, I dream of the day I can visit the country and I even own salt and pepper shaking in the form of the Eiffel Tower. (Yes, I really do and they are glorious.) So to learn that Marc Levy is a French writer who has written a romance novel
Mia is a British actress who runs off to Paris to stay with her best friend after getting fed up of her husband's cheating. Their movie is due to come out soon, and since they're starring together Mia doesn't want to make a public scene of their separation so she changes her appearance and tries to lay low. Paul is an American author who moved to Paris after his first book was published, but since then his books have not been very popular, except for surprisingly in Korea. His friend concerned

I honestly don't feel like reliving what I already wrote in my update besides the fact that I don't know if I would have liked this more in the original French or what. The dialogue seemed off to me and the plots (such as they were) did not seem realistic at all.The book focuses on two characters. Mia who is an English actress who I guess is famous. And Paul, who is a writer who has become a success in Korea. Yeah you read that right. I would honestly just say that this book is the literary
Oh, I loved this. Someone get me to Paris ASAP! It's just a lovely read with a real classic romance feel, but tied wth the modern ways, such as internet dating. I loved the characters and I'm actually really annoyed with myself that I've had this book waiting on my kindle for months and I've only just read it. It was beautiful. The writing is spot on and I know this is one that I'll be recommending to my friends who love a romantic read.
This story is funny, romantic and full of drama. It takes place in three different areas in the world without losing the interest of the reader. Two people from very different backgrounds meet through the underhanded methods of Paul's friend. What starts off as strange develops into two people learning over again how to be friends and support one another before love steps in and blinds them. The author makes the main character a writer with a few quirks that soon becomes inescapable until Mia, a
