Teddy Fitzroy’s back for another zoo mystery—this time it’s a koala caper—in this action-packed follow-up to Belly Up, which Kirkus Reviews called “great fun.”

School troublemaker Vance Jessup thinks Teddy Fitzroy’s home at FunJungle, a state-of-the-art zoo and theme park, is the perfect place for a cruel prank. Vance bullies Teddy into his scheme, but the plan goes terribly awry.

Teddy sneaks into the koala exhibit to hide out until the chaos dies down. But when the koala goes missing, Teddy is the only person caught on camera entering and exiting the exhibit.

Teddy didn’t commit the crime—but if he can’t find the real culprit, he’ll be sent to juvie as a convicted koala-napper.

Notice Regarding Books Poached (FunJungle #2)
While I really enjoyed reading about Teddy's second adventure, there were a couple of things that bugged me. The way Vance, the bully from school, seems to control everyone at school, including the principal really rubbed me the wrong way. I mean, where were all the adults when Vance and his friends were getting ready to stuff Teddy's head in the toilet of a filthy bathroom. Maybe it's because I work in a school and I know how hard the staff works to keep the school running well but it seems so

4 stars for a fast-moving, humorous, who-done-it tale for young teens. Teddy Fitzroy lives at FunJungle, the world's biggest zoo and theme park, with his parents...his dad is a famous photographer for National Geographic and his mother is a biologist. He is bullied at school, followed by Large Marge, zoo security, and experiencing his first puppy-love. When Teddy is accused of a crime he didn't commit, zoo employees, students, and dastardly villains are involved in finding the real culprits(s).

Poached by Stuart Gibbs http://stuartgibbs.com/books/ I read Poached before I read the prequel. Whoops. Thats ok. I thought this book had an amazing opening that led you from one chapter to the next with such great pacing, something Ive missed for some reason lately I thought that there couldnt be a bully as bad as Vance but as I read further into the book I accepted the character where he was at without any further need for background information about him. As for the main character, Teddy, I

Teddy Fitzroy is accused of stealing FunJungle's biggest attraction: a koala on loan from Australia. He does live at the animal park, and his parents work there. He has gotten in trouble there before. But, he didn't do it. Why does all the evidence point to him? An action-packed mystery, with lots of interesting side facts on animal behavior, as well as a bully situation at school that seems insurmountable. Teddy has a lot of grit. I hope we get to see him in more adventures!

I loved this book so much I would recommend this book who likes humor, mystery, and realistic fiction. Very well written I could not put the book down. Stuart Gibbs has written others book and I want to read them too.

I read this book in one day, almost in one sitting. It was a compulsively readable, madcap mystery from start to finish! My students will love this for the humor, zoo setting and nonstop action - I loved it for the same reasons. Great fun!

I loved Belly Up and all of Teddy Fitzroy's mysteries! This one with a koala missing is not quite as hard to solve as the first book, so it wasn't as good. Teddy goes around the FunJungle to find out the kidnapper of Kazoo the Koala. Ever since Teddy's shark prank, he has all the blame as the kidnapper, even though he isn't. At the end, he finally figures out who kidnapped Kazoo and everything goes back to normal- Summer even comes back and decides to come to a local school with him. I recommend
