Her beauty has always given her anything she wanted... and any man she wanted.Runa Realm is facing a new threat. Strange bandits, disguised as nobles, are attacking beautiful women to steal their hair. Coralina isn’t concerned. Until Prince Luxley, her favorite (but not only) lover, gets clobbered by a peasant called Gord, who mistakenly assumed the prince was a bandit.
Outraged, Coralina plans to punish the peasant by deliberately breaking his heart. But Gord is nearly blind. For the first time ever, Coralina must rely on more than her looks to ensnare a man. But the harder she flirts, the more Gord seems to hate her. And the more her own heart (and hair) becomes endangered.

Great bookCan I just say up front that I honestly cannot stand Coralina?! She is shallow, thinks she's better than everyone else and feels she is entitled to anything she wants. I really didn't care much for her in Maelyn. She was just a horrible individual in my opinion. Coralina thrives on flirting, bringing any attention to herself from any man around her and stealing kisses. When Gord mistakes Prince Luxley for one of the bandits, knocks him out cold and then accidently pushes Coralina into the lake

** Warning! Somewhat spoiler-y information ahead! ** Sooo Coralina is pretty much a terrible person, but, hey! It's okay, because the guy she actually starts to care about turns around and is a terrible person in return... Yep. It's okay to humiliate and (very!) publicly scorn someone who isn't a good person to show them how much of a not-good-person they are. Beat them to the punch line of mean and nasty behavior. Especially when your child is watching. Great moral lesson! Wow. I've always
An enjoyable sequel to Maelyn! A glowing four stars through most of it; lost a star for doing the unthinkable and being a romance-ish tale without the closure I wanted. Maybe she deserved what she got, but I didn't want her to only have a lesson learned, I wanted her to be happy once she did! Waah. My inner romantic is saddened. However, I still have hope because there will be more books in the series; which I will definitely be reading. It's just too short and felt a little cut off, due to the
Honestly, I was so surprised by how much this story captivated me. I quite enjoyed the first one, but this one dug deeper into my reader's soul. I just loved the twists and turns, very unexpected. Despite Coralina's selfish nature and undoubtedly NOT-perfect character, she really grew on me. I'm intrigued by her. She started out so annoying and some things I couldn't believe even she would do, but by the end of this lovely story, I felt...a connection to her that I certainly did not expect to
Beauty isn't everythingI liked this story even with the twist. It has a folklore type feel where the lesson is beauty isn't everything. I wised for more with the ending but all together another cute fast read
