i wanted to stop quite a few times while reading this long (820 pg) autobiography by elia kazan - because i didnt like many things about his character, especially his approach to women (which clearly, now, would place him in a prominent place between the accused in the #metoo movement - he considered it absolutely normal and matter of fact that powerful man in the film & theatre business were using their position if power and the career hopes of young actresses to their advantage) - and ofLet me start by saying two things: first, that Elia Kazan is a terrible human being.
