So I had some serious issues with this book. First of all the writing needed lots of work. The Plot was confusing, hard to get into, and down right poorly written. Not to mention that there is absolutely no character development whatsoever in this book. The main character Artemis refers to her father as "Darren" unless actually speaking to him which is really weird. He acts like more of an older brother or friend than a father. He acts extremely over protective, but in the next breath get's herThis book has werewolves, vampires and sidhe (fairies). It's a young adult fantasy novel. If you finished Twilight or are waiting for the next Vampire Academy or House of Night novel and need a new book to read, try this book.
For more info and reviews please visit my Book Review Blog here - A Life Bound By Books Catherine Banks had created a new and dark world within the first book in the Artemis Lupine Series - Song of the Moon. Weaving a mysterious tale thats filled with werewolves, vampires and fae, Banks has created a great foundation within the Young Adult genre. Our main character Artemis is different, she knows it, as does everyone else, but no one knows exactly why or do they? Shes strong, independent and

Overall I really enjoyed this book. I thought the chemistry between the main characters was well-done and this was probably why I liked the book so much. There were a few minor things that distracted me a little, but not enough that I didn't continue on to read the second book. My main issues are as follows: There were some words that were repeated--a lot. For example, the word suprise. Everyone is always suprised about something when it comes to Artemis. I know the author was probably just
This and my other reviews can be found at http://amethystbookwyrm.blogspot.co.uk/Artemiss life is changed forever when she meets the man she has been dreaming about, Ares, who claims she is a werewolf and is also his mate. With the humans being killed, will Artemis be able to accept herself, her mate and her destiny? I read Song of the Moon because I really liked Banks book, Mercenary, but unfortunately I just found this book OK as I could not connect to the characters. I especially did not like
Can I please just tell you that I still cannot believe how quickly Banks had me hooked to her Artemis Lupine series. I'm honestly still in shock! I took one look at this cover (I'm ashamed to say) and almost put the book right back down. I can't quite put my finger on what it is that bothered me so much but I immediately felt like relating to these characters, let alone coming to enjoy myself in Banks' world would be nearly impossible. I can't stress enough how wrong I was. Banks had me hooked I
I was sucked into this book right away. Artemis is such a strong character that knows her dad is keeping something from her. She has been having strange dreams of a black wolf that turns in to a man but she doesn't believe in werewolves. While on a trip with Darren her father and best friend Brett she sees the man in her dreams at the casino they are in. Darren makes them leave right away but she is so drawn to the man she doesn't want to leave. Once back at home her father still will not tell
