There ain't no answer. There ain't going to be any answer. There never has been an answer. That's the answer.

A good selection of none-theist thoughts. This edition will it have benefited of an introduction on the context of some of these quotes and their impact in the history of ideas.

"In some awful, strange, paradoxical way, atheists tend to take religion more seriously then the practitioners." -jonathan miller"Well I don't think we're for anything. We're just products of evolution. You can say "Gee, your life must be pretty bleak if you don't think there's a purpose." But I'm anticipating having a good lunch" -james watson"I will have nothing to do with your immortality; we are miserable enough in this life, without the absurdity of speculating upon another"-byron

The most brilliant minds in history were atheists. I'm in good company.

A delightful gem. Insights from intellects and free thinkers over the centuries.

The Atheist's Bible is a short collection of atheistic quotes by such disparate individuals as Voltaire, Phillip K. Dick, Edward Abbey, Charlie Chaplin, the Dalai Lama, Thomas Paine, Emo Philips, Mohandas Gandhi and Richard Feynman among others as well as the standbys of Bertrand Russell, Robert Ingersoll, Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens. I did have two problems with the text:1. Some of the quotes were taken out of context. Several of the individuals were quite religious and

There's a lot of great quotes in here, & a lot of just meh quotes. I'd say it was about 50/50. You can't expect it to be all gold, & there are plenty of gems to be found. My biggest complaint is there were not good citations for many of these quotes, which especially concerns me in cases where the authenticity of the quote is in doubt or disputed. Of course a quote's greatness does not usually depend on who said it, but it would be nice to know how reliable the attributions in this book

A delightful collection of inspiring, enlightening quotes from witty freethinkers from all over the globe and of the past 2,000+ years. This one's going on my shelf right next to The Devil's Dictionary!
